More Cache Woes

Featured Replies

Hi All:

I have been able to set up my cache drive (500GB WD Caviar Blue).  It is connected directly into my motherboard.  When testing a file transfer, I am getting the same copy speed with the cache enabled as without enabled (29 minutes to move a 10GB mkv file.

Huh?

Basically two options:

1) You did not enable the cache drive for the share you are copying to (this is a setting done per-share)

2) There is some other kind of bottleneck around.

Possibly it is 1)

It appears to be option 2.

Just a double check... You ARE copying to a user-share ?  If you are copying directly to a diskshare then the cache drive is not used..

Yes Helmonder.  The user share is "Movies".  When I add a file(s) it shows up in the cache folder.
