So why are the ISOs constantly accessed? This constant access means that my disks never spin down which I'd really like them to do.

January 19, 20251 yr Author No, the VMs aren't running. In two cases, the ISOs aren't used for any VM. In all cases, the ISOs aren't present on any VM config

January 19, 20251 yr Author Fair enough but it doesn't answer the question as to why the files are being accessed so frequently in the first place. This isn't just a one off occurrence as it's happening 24/7 over extended periods of time ie months. It's only when I investigated the fact that my disks didn't spin down that I noticed the constant file access
January 19, 20251 yr Community Expert It's a fantastic question that I tried and failed to understand before. One would think that once the OS is installed that it don't need to access install media anymore. I hope somebody can get you a good answer as it will bring me a bit of closure too.
