Unused fan display

Featured Replies

Since Unraid 7.0.0 the 5 fan connectors of my fan controller are displayed in Unraid without an additional plugin.

It seems that the used kernel of Unraid 7 provides the drivers for this.

Is there a way to hide the display of the 3 unused fan (Lüfter 3 - 5) outlets in the user interface?

Thanks for your hints

AFAIK, that's not stock, try rebooting in safe mode.

Even in safe mode, the fan display is available:

This is from Dynamix autofan plugin, best asking there

Actually its interesting that the settings icon is missing in this case, that normally takes you to the autofan settings, maybe an incomplete plugin uninstall?

As you can see in the left bottom corner of my screen shot, i took the picture in safe mode.  So, the fan display appears without any plug-in.

Post a screenshot showing the tile options, like this:

I still think that's not stock, try booting a with a new flash drive using a stock v7.0 install, no key needed, and see if that shows up.

Ohhh. That's going to be a lot of work. Server out - connect screen to select the boot device and and and......
Maybe I'll learn to live with the three 0 rpm displays ;)

According to your assumptions, there doesn't seem to be a simple file that only needs to be edited.

You can also just uncheck this:

And that tile will no longer appear.

OK, but my idea was to disable the 3 unused fan ports with no connected fan. Those 3 ports shows always 0 rpm (see at my 1. picture in the thread......
