January 20, 20251 yr Good morning all! I plan on migrating from a Dell RD720XD to a newer server. None of the drives will be the same. I will be moving from 24 x 1TB drives over to 8 x 10TB drives and a completely different system. What is the best way to backup and restore all data so that nothing is lost data wise? I want to make sure I don't lose my Plex library or my son's Minecraft server as he, his friends and I have spent a lot of time building on it. Is there an actual backup and restore utility or do I need to just copy everything to an external drive and then copy it back once I have made the switch? Thanks in advance!

After all is setup and working properly, I can just switch to my already paid for license? Like just switch which USB drive holds the license?
