Help with Docker and Plex

Featured Replies

I am getting a docker critical image disk utilization Alert (File /mnt/user/system/docker/docker.img) when Plex has been transcoding for a bit.  When I look under docker tab the plex docker has a large file size....indicating that the transcode looks to be going to the docker.ing location instead of to cache causing the above error.....

I am not sure I have all my setting correct.

1. Docker Settings: vdisk.-->/mnt/user/system/docker/docker.img

                           appdata storage -->/mnt/user/appdata/

2. Share Settings for appdata set to Cache, 188 GB , No secondary Storage.

3. Plex Template Settings: /transcode--> /config/tmp/. I am using linuxserver.io plex image

4. Plex web GUI transcode -->  /transcode

Appreciate input/help to make sure I have everything set correctly.

transcode is make temp files within the pelx docker image as it is not correctly mapping to a physical disk, as such the unraid docker image is filling up.
You will need to delete the docker image and remake it.

I recommend moving to xfs based docker image as well...

In plex verify that your transcode is correctly mapped to a disk to prevent in the future...

you may need to make a varible path for /tmp in plex...
