System Going Completely Unresponsive

Featured Replies

This is an issue that has been happening over the last few months now, but it has only just started becoming more regular.

I will notice the issue usually if I go to watch something through Plex and it is offline, or when I try and connect to the GUI dashboard and cannot connect to the local IP address.

When it happens, I have no access to local IP or any of its ports for the dockers and have to resort to a physical reboot of the system.

Recently I have setup syslog so it is saving the most recent log to maybe get some ideas of what is going on.

I don't have any issues during normal use on the server and there's no real consistency in what I would be doing that seems to cause this.

Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Btrfs is detecting data corruption, start by running memtest.

Thanks for the response, I have completed 2 cycles in meatiest with 0 errors. I've also updated my BIOS to the latest stable version as it was a few versions old.
Everything seemed okay for a few days, but again the last couple of days I'm having daily lockups.

I've attached my logs here which seem to be pointing to a GPU issue in addition to errors on my cache drives (I plan to replace these shortly anyway). I've updated my drivers, even removed and reinstalled them. I can always see the GPU running fine when I do my checks, it's as if the issue randomly occurs and then locks up so I don't see it coming. Im wondering if at this point I'm needing to get a new GPU....

Try removing the Nvidia GPU, or just uninstall the driver, and retest.

I’ve already tried with the drivers. If i remove the GPU and give it a few days and it seems to stop, think it’s safe to say the GPU is the issue?
Might need to let the wife know that we NEED a 50 series GPU

Most likely, the crashes are Nvidia related.

I'm having the same problem, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Start your own thread with your Diagnostics. Also, please don't save these plain text files in a word processor, it puts a lot of extra things in there.
