January 22, 20251 yr Hi, I'm on Unraid 6.12.10 and don't know why I started to getting in System Logs - sshd[2164]: Received signal 15; terminating. And my server is restarting, but not cleanly, so every time there's a parity check. It occurs every 30 minutes to an hour. I'm attaching my diagnostics. I tried to run server without enabling docker, without VMs, without UPS and it ends always with restarts. How to check what could be the culprit? It could be faulty RAM, PSU? Or something else? gattaca-diagnostics-20250122-2304.zip
January 22, 20251 yr Community Expert Set up the Syslog server (Under the SETTINGS tab of the GUI) and have it 'Mirror syslog to flash': Post the syslog file in a new post in this thread after a reboot has occurred.
January 22, 20251 yr Community Expert Why are these .bin files? The contents appear to be hexadecimal
January 22, 20251 yr Author 21 minutes ago, trurl said: Why are these .bin files? The contents appear to be hexadecimal I downloaded them from Unraid GUI on my phone. Just change extension to txt. I also attached txt version. syslog.txt syslog-previous.txt Edited January 22, 20251 yr by sekator added txt version
January 23, 20251 yr Community Expert There's nothing relevant in syslog-previous, do you mean the server is rebooting by itself?
January 23, 20251 yr Author Yes. And not cleanly. So parity check starts. It started to happening about a week ago. What else can I do?
January 23, 20251 yr Community Expert Server rebooting by itself is almost always a hardware problem.
January 23, 20251 yr Community Expert I would suspect either a PSU issue, or perhaps a thermal issue with the CPU overheating.
January 26, 20251 yr Author Solution Wow, that was weird. I didn't touch hardware and server was restarting every 30 minutes and in this period (this 30 minute window) I've updated to Unraid 7.0. And now it is working for 14 hours straight. No shutdowns. Edited January 26, 20251 yr by sekator removed "to"
