nginx sambda died? input output error

Featured Replies

Hey,

Woke up to a bit of an issue this morning, samba shares dropped, nginx web ui/gui no longer responding either. dockers appear to be mostly working fine, some complaining but otherwise working.

consoled on through sm ipmi, console is there, can do some stuff but most commands return

Input/Output error,

can't restart ngingx or samba, cant check status even.

not spend too much time in console, but tried powerdown -r, didnt find cmd, diagnostics same thing.

as I understand I should see my webui 192.168.0.180:443 on netstat, but thats not there. Anything worth trying before I pull the power cord and unclean shutdown?

ended up unclean rebooting after nothing worked. came back fine, logs probably gone so cant do much further, not seen this issue before 6.12.14 btw but might not be related.

and issue came back again today, at least its a hard 500 instead of nothing, looks like .15 rolled back some webgui changes, gonna try that next

Sometimes rewriting the bz* type files on the flash drive from a zip download of the release can help clear such issues.  Failing that helping you are going to need to look into replacing the flash drive.

yeah, replacing drive now, got a recent backup from connect, funnily enough had a spare usb stick that is in system now and has been working for a few years now, when I went to flash backup zip, it said its blacklisted, adata.

kingston data traveller, no guid. manual install, kernel panic.

sandisk extreme, boot loops.

back to backup blacklisted adata, manual, works fine...

maybe one day we'll move away from the archaic licensing by usb key.
