Getting started with Unraid and self-hosting

Disclaimer: I am completely new to all of this, so hopefully I don't sound too stupid. Here is basically the problem I have and the solution I would like to have: I have three SD cards which have multiple files of 4K footage on them, formatted by Sony FX30s. I have a small, custom-built computer (built by my friend). I would like that computer to be running Unraid, and I can somehow upload my footage to it. Then, I would like a way for anyone with an internet connection (my editors) to download and upload footage and files to the computer, basically acting as a server. Is this possible with Unraid? Is there anything I need to know? What plugins or features should I use to accomplish this?

Edit: One more thing: the computer build has two hard drives and I would like one to be the main hard drive and the other to be a backup.

Thank you very much!

Yes, you could do it with Tailscale for example.

once you get Unraid going for storage, check out Syncloud (https://syncloud.org) for the app side. I made it so im biased but its open source. it handles Nextcloud, Jellyfin, Bitwarden etc with one click installs and automatic https and auth. I run it on a separate Raspberry Pi alongside my main storage box so each does what its best at. nice way to add services without overloading your Unraid setup with docker containers
