I am considering Unraid to build out a new home NAS and currently running the trial licence but I want to make sure of a couple things

I am currently hosting plex from a qnap... 

  1. I am using spare harddrives laying around the office for testing, if I decide to purchase unraid can I blow it all away and start new with new drives?
  2. What is the easiest way to migrate to unraid
  3. Can I change the unraid hostname to match the qnap after migration

 

Thats all I have at the moment.

    You can for example mount the QNAP SMB share(s) with the UD plugin and copy the data
