After upgrading to v7 my machine is now gone. Help.

Featured Replies

After upgrading to v7 my Unraid installation is broken. After rebooting i had troubles connecting to the GUI, it would be really slow, the dashboard was missing lots of information until it became unresponsive completely. I can reboot and login for a bit until it is gone. Same with SSH, i am able to connect to the machine but after a while the network becomes unresponsive.

I started searching for troubleshooting tips and found a topic that recommended safe mode, i thought it might help me figuring out what is going on. After rebooting into GUI Safemode i was not able to connect to the machine at all. After another reboot I managed to create a support package before i lost the connection again.

How can i start figuring out what is going on? Should i look into restoring a flash backup or downgrade to an older version?

I created a support ticket asking for help, figured maybe someone here would also be able to help, i definitely would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Could be a bad load or the USB itself.  Try loading up a trial on a fresh USB and see if that boots up.

Thank for the advice. In the meantime i restored my flash backup to an extra usb flash drive i had lying around and the system is now as it was. This must be some kind of bug in version 7.

If you cannot connect after booting in safe mode, there are other issues, post new diags in safe mode.

Uninstalling the Realtek NIC driver resolved the issue, there is also a hint in the release notes.
