Unraid 7.0.0 VM and dockers show not installed after reboot

Featured Replies

Recently upgraded to Unraid 7.0.0, after the upgrade everything was working fine, had to perform a restart recently, and after boot up all VMs are showing "No Virtual Machines installed " and dockers are showing "No Docker containers installed". However, when checked in the appdata shares you can see all the docker images. It might be important to note the fix common problems plugins is showing a DNS error, which is due to my DNS server being a VM on unraid that is missing.

Both images are new, there may be duplicates, post the output from:

find /mnt -name libvirt.img

There's no duplicate, but there's a backup, if that is a recent backup try pointing to that one.

For the docker, and assuming appdata is still there, you can recreate the image

Hi JorgeB,

the libvirt backup is an old one, do I have VM backups is there a way I can just restore those VM backups to the libvert image? Also, can you give me any pointers on how to recreate the docker image as the appdata is present.

Also to note, in the domains folder I still have all my VM files with their vdisk and XML file

Do you know if this backs up the libvirt.img file? If not, make sure you backup this for the future, if you don't have it, you should be able to recreate the VMs with the same settings and point to the existing vdisks.

For the docker image:

https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-create-the-docker-image-file
Then:
https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-installing-docker-applications
Also see below if you have any custom docker networks:
https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#docker-custom-networks
