Moving files within same share is slow?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

- 4 x 8 TB array (58% used)

- no parity disk

- share 'media' (xfs) is set as: use all disk, no exclude, split only top level if needed.

Doing: Moving files from share (subfolders) movies -> movies-uhd

Looking at the docker (radarr) i used or doing it in Unraid gui (dynamix plugin) yields the same results. Same with unbalance ..

When i try to move files... 150-180 MB/sec instead of what i expected .. MORE OR LESS instant.

Deletes of say 70 GB files are like instant.

Am i missing something?

Dynamix File Manager does Move as Copy to destination then Delete from source. Maybe 'arrs do too.
