February 1, 20251 yr -> settings/system settings/power mode Best power efficiency Balanced operation (unavailable) Best performance The options seem self explanatory. But what do they actually do? I think it's a core function of Unraid. I don't think I've installed it as a plugin. A further question if you want to indulge me: Can this information be found in the Unraid manual? And is there a version of the manual that actually corresponds 1 to 1 to the various options in the Unraid menus? Thanks!

February 1, 20251 yr Author I could actually see the cpu frequency change switching to "performance". It's usually @ 1600mhz but now its says Intel® Core™ i5-14500T @ 4059 MHz. Thanks!
March 10, 20251 yr Hi Power efficiency mode has a good effect on my electrical demand. https://ibb.co/6RGc8qBC However my calculation tasks launched once time a day are 6x longer. Could we imagine change this mode programmatically or by a cron/schedule ? If yes, where to look at first ? Thanks

Thanks Tips and Tweaks plugin has cron scheduling for power settings, although it raises a good point and it probably should be part of the built in power management settings.
March 11, 20251 yr Thanks. I made a test this night with power mode set to balanced and schedule the tips and tweaks modes. And it obsolutely does the job, switching Power Modes to the modes schedules in tips and tweaks. Wonderful Edited March 11, 20251 yr by LittleLama
March 21, 20251 yr Community Expert intel_pstate only has those 2 options, where as powersave is the closest ito the "ancient" ondemand. Performance is the mandated default Edited March 21, 20251 yr by Mainfrezzer
