February 2, 20251 yr I am a newbie whose son helped set up my raid server. I have updated to 7.0 and also applied today's patch. Mover still seems to be not working. I looked at the log and I see that Unraid is continually Soliciting pool server. I've never noticed that before. I've attached a diagnostic report and a screenshot of my log. Everything was working correctly before the update. I have to believe the "Soliciting pool server" message is part of the problem but it is possible this is unrelated. monsterhal-diagnostics-20250202-1120.zip
February 2, 20251 yr Community Expert ntpd is the process that gets the time from the internet. Don't know why it is spamming syslog with all those different IPs. Go to Settings - Date and Time, and set NTP Server 1 to time.google.com, and leave all the other NTP Servers blank. Very unlikely that has anything to do with mover problem. Doesn't look like there is anything for mover to do. Post a screenshot of the share settings for a share you think should be moved.
February 3, 20251 yr Author Here are screen shots of the tv show in cache that should move to TV and Movies Share. Neither clicking Move or waiting until the Mover runs its nightly scheduled move seems to move the files off cache into the TV and Movie Share.
February 3, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution That share has no setting for Mover action. Set it to Primary:cache; Secondary:array; Mover action:cache->array. Then after you get it moved, if you don't want new files to go to cache you can set it to Primary:array.
February 3, 20251 yr Author Thank-you for the help! I am not sure why the share setting was changed after the 7.0 update, but evidently I needed to set for Mover action and everything is ok in my Unraid world.
