April 13, 201214 yr Why are sometimes the mandate and battdate of an APC UPS printed as: 2010-02-27 in the apcupsd status display and other times as: 10/16/11 (dates are just examples on different apc models). Is this UPS/firmware dependent or a setting, either in the UPS or apcupsd? I would like it to be: dd-mm-yyyy which is more common here in the Netherlands.
April 24, 201214 yr I cannot explain it, but if I may add my two cents, I don't think ANY date format allowing only numbers should be allowed anywhere, and years should only be specified as (at least) 4 digits. Tell me, what is the real date represented by 12/03/11? The solution (in my mind at least) is a simple 04 Apr 2012 format (at least for English language) because it's never confusing as to what is meant. I guess what I mean to say is, if we're lobbying for change, let's lobby together to end the confusion
