Trying to use Tailscale Integration with the PhotoStructure Docker

Featured Replies

I'm running into some issues trying to use Tailscale integration with the PhotoStructure docker. If anyone on the Unraid side can guide me I can perhaps report this to Matthew, the PhotoStructure dev and he may be able to fix them when he updates his container. When trying to install Tailscale into the container (using the template from Community Apps) and setting .tailscale_state manually I get:

Please wait...
ERROR: Can't get Tailscale JSON
ERROR: Unraid Docker Hook script throw an error!
       Starting container without Tailscale!

If anyone had an idea of what is going wrong I'd really appreciate it!

First of all the Tailscale state directory should be (/ps/config/.taiscale_state) :

I just tried a install from scratch and it works OOB over here:

Do you possible have the Tailscale plugin installed and Use DNS set to true in the Plugin settings?

If yes, please try to disable Use DNS in the plugin.

If this is not the case, do you possibly have Unifi network gear on your network with IDS/IPS enabled? IDS/IPS is a bit to strict on some instances.

Ah this is probably because you are running the stable tag. I should have been more clear, the tag to use right now is beta according to the dev. I spoke with him and ca-certificates is missing from that image hence the issue.

Oh, if ca-certificates is missing this will be fixed in the next version from Unraid.

Oh awesome, that is definitely the issue here! I was able to manually add it and sort of get it to work enough to confirm that it's ca-certificates missing that is causing the problem.
