Putting the server to sleep for a specific time

Featured Replies

Is there some power schedule options built in , by which i can set it up to sleep during a percific time of day and wake up accordingly. Like WD or other NAS have ??

I want to make it do to sleep everday at 3am and wake up at 10 pm, as during this time the server is just up and running dowing nothing. would save power and increase life span of components. !! the temps in my area are very high during summer so this will be helpfull

Have you tried the sleep plugin? In conjunction with your board's RTC wake it should work for you.

But, you should note that turning stuff on and off a lot could actually do more harm to your components than just leaving it running.
