unable to get internet connection for unraid app store

Featured Replies

so, this all started when i had an issue with my plex install and as a troubleshooting step i went to reinstall it, when i went into the app store initially it said it didn't have an internet connection, i've already tried verifying time servers, i've tried a bunch of different dns servers, im at a bit of a loss, that being said my experience with unraid has been mostly surface level thus far. any and all help would be appreciated, i included a diagnostic folder as well.

none of the comments on that particular thread seem to be of help, i'm still getting the same ssl verification issue when i run the install, i probably should have mentioned the specific error that i was getting on the initial post

Check that the date and time are correctly set.

i've tried, did double check again, still same issue, i've tried verifying time, resetting my network settings, and im sure some other stuff im missing. next steps?

Post a screenshot from Settings - Data and Time, also the output from:

from the Unraid terminal, please run:

ping mothership.unraid.net

If that comes back without packet loss, please also run:

nslookup -debug mothership.unraid.net

and provide the output via an attached text file to this email/ticket

Everything looks fine, to rule out a config issue, try booting with a new flash drive, no key needed, and see if you can install CA.

I have made a big mess and I am unsure of how to fix it. I was on unraid 7.0 and things were smooth sailing. I set up wireguard and was able to access the unraid server but couldnt get my traffic outside of unraid to be tunneled. So i read to turn on custom host network access would fix it. WRONG! So i turned it off. it messed with all the networking of the dockers and now I dont have access to internet through the community app store. So then this morning I finally downgraded to 6.1.2 thinking it would correct whatever is messed up. NOPE. Then i tried to go back to 7.0 and it cant connect to do that. I can ping my router from the terminal but i get no response when ping mothership.unraid.net. Any help is greatly appreciate.

delete or rename config/network.cfg on flash so it will use default networking

Thank you for your response. I completed the task and still no access to app store or update back to 7.0

Disable Docker in Settings.

I disabled them. What will that do in terms of sorting this issue?

Have you tried the app store again after disabling docker?

If that still doesn't work, boot in SAFE mode and try again.

Try other DNS settings.

i hope you managed to fix your time servers in the meantime, because "_com" is not a valid domain. (i mean, i see what youre trying to accomplish but relying sole on one single one is a tat wild, get at least a second working backup one)

i know^^

yes i tried changing the dns services earlier this morning with no success. I have booted in safe mode and it prompts for me to install the community applications. i click install and it says network error.

i tried 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and it still does not work.

I found the solution. turned off VPN and it works!

Thank you all for your support to my stupidity.
