February 8, 20251 yr I've been running two servers for about five years with no issue similar to this. I've spinned up a new v7 install and installed Plex and all the associated *arr media managers. The *arrs can see the files, move them into new directories, claim to have renamed them, but they have not been renamed. If I restart the *arrs and scan again they see all the files in the proper directories but they have their original names. If I tell it to rename them again it says there's nothing to rename. I can see them, I can open them, but Plex cannot see them. Some times Plex can not even see the folders unless I reload. I've tried running Docker Safe New Perms, I've tried running New Permissions. All file perms are 777. I've tried rebooting everything. I've tried bourbon. I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated. quarks-diagnostics-20250208-0403.zip Edited February 9, 20251 yr by Puck
February 9, 20251 yr Community Expert You may need to stop all docekr and run docker safe permission. then in teh *ars dockers add 0- root 99 - nobody 100 - users
February 9, 20251 yr Author It looks like it was more of a small Plex bug than anything. It was ignoring files in the folder view which was confusing me making me think it was a permissions issue. The initial issue was a layer 8 defect as I forgot to actually ENABLE renaming in the *arrs so clicking "Rename" did nothing. Thank you for the help!
