kinda

Unraid v7 is running linux kernel LTS 6.x
root@Docker:~# uname -r
6.6.68-Unraid

The intel drivers are more developed in the lattest kernel 6.12
Unraid prefers to follow Open ZFS Kernel support to gurantee support when/ if issues araise.

In Slackware linux(what unraid is built ontop of) you can install and compile openzfs on kernel 6.12
atm we are still waiting on openzfs to move to 6.12 lts
https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues/16850

as it is not in release that I know of...

However, driver plugins, and other users that are running 12th Gen Intel CPU haven't voiced issues or concerns regarding problems with use on that platform.
Issues can arise in trying to leverage the igpu with in dockers.
-There is a plugin that helps this...

In testing, I haven't had issues using the lattest intel chipset and i9. vfio with the igpu and use of the arc gpu are problematic(as they both run under the igp modprobe kernel driver...) and are kernel realted driver issues that are fixed in 6.12...

There have been hit and miss issues on the forum as we are waiting on openzfs to release on the latest 6 lts kernel...

(It is not a guarantee that 6.12 lts won't show issues but will definite have more and better driver support...)

I'm otherwise not aware of any standard unriad nas system not working on the lattest intel platform...

You may want to email limetech support on this...

yes, you can also run 6.12.15 if you want. 12th gen works on kernel 6.1 and certainly on 6.6.

cheers, from someone with a 14100 and hd 730

I need an information whether the HW transcoding under plex is running error-free on the UHD770

@Mainfrezzer any chance you willing to throw a gpu static of your 730 to assist OP Zonediver regarding driver support?

I think the dashboard showing the HD730 would be fine with the install of these 2 plugins:

as passing to plex and using the transcode shouldn't be a issue as long as the host sees it...
and the hd730 vs 770 are close Enouth for a chipset in use comparison?

The question is a bit too plex specific for me to answer. And plex does have its fair share of issues^^ I can only say that it works in jellyfin just fine

I'm running unRAID 7.0.0 with an Intel i5-12500T and Plex (with a Plex Pass).  Hardware transcoding in Plex using the iGPU works without issue.
