Unraid server losing network connection until restart after random time periods

Featured Replies

Hello, lately my server has been losing network connection. It seems to otherwise be fine, the server will gracefully shut down when I press the power button and then come back up and connect when I restart it.

I upgraded my hardware (cpu/MB/RAM) in November, but had no issues for at least 2 months before this started happening.  It seems somewhat frequent, every 12-48 hours the server will just not be accessible on the network.  I've uploaded logs, both saved directly to the flash and logged over the network, can better pinpoint the time the issue starts in the latter.  I'm terrible at deciphering these though and would greatly appreciate any advice on solutions.

When it happens I can't ping the server or anything.

unraid log from flash.log unraid log over network.log

NIC is losing the link:

Feb  8 07:40:55 Tower kernel: r8169 0000:08:00.0 eth0: Link is Down
Feb  8 07:40:55 Tower kernel: bond0: (slave eth0): link status definitely down, disabling slave
Feb  8 07:40:55 Tower kernel: device eth0 left promiscuous mode
Feb  8 07:40:55 Tower kernel: bond0: now running without any active interface

Try a different cable and port switch, if the same try a different NIC.
