[Solved] unMenu browser woes

Featured Replies

I am getting more confident using unRaid and just installed unMenu on my system.  I am using a Mac running Safari.  I am unable to connect to my unRaid with the //tower:8080 prompt as Safari requires me to enter my IP address (192.168.2.25) in its place.  When I select any of the management links, my web browser points me to //tower:8080/"the requested link" leading to Safari being unable to find the server.  Any solution to this?

Example:

I log in to unMenu as

http://192.168.2.25:8080

and get to the home screen.  When I select, for example, the "array management" screen, my browser points me to

http://tower:8080/array_management

which leads to the server not found error.  If I enter

http://192.168.2.25:8080/array_management

all is well.  I'm sure there must be a simple way to rectify this...

I had a similar problem, and this was the solution.

Open Terminal

sudo nano /etc/hosts

add

192.XXX.XXX.XXX tower

reboot or might work right away.

On my Mac directly or do I log in to telnet?

The first response would be on your mac. The second response from Joe is a on your server.
