February 12, 20251 yr Hello. I'm trying to boot unraid 7.0.0 on my ASUS Z890-P. The Graphic setup goes straight to blak screen with blinking cursor. the Regular setup doesn't recognize the eth0. from what I'm reading, it has something to do with a network driver? It seems i need to create a .ko file from this release: https://github.com/awesometic/realtek-r8125-dkms/releases. and place it in to an uraid usb.... I have no idea how. maybe someone can help me out here. I'm very new to unraid. Thanks. jer-rmm-unr1-diagnostics-20250212-1454.zip syslog Edited February 12, 20251 yr by hg-sysadmin adding diagnostics
February 13, 20251 yr Author Solution I found a way to go around this problem. I used an old PC to boot up the UNRAID and than downloaded the r8125 driver from the plugins page. Placed the USB back in to my main server and it booted up - it recognized the network straigh away. The GUI setup still doesn't work. Support answer was that my hardware is too new and that it will be supported in feature releases. Not a deal breaker since i can access the server from web portal. Hope this helps some other newbie.
February 13, 20251 yr Missed your origianl post, but yeah, the NIC is not supported yet by the kernel driver, and for the iGPU, you will need to wait for Unraid 7.1 with kernel 6.12
