Recently upgraded to version 7.0.0, not sure if this started happening before the upgrade or not but spin down was working at one time on 6.12.x.

 

Drives do not spin down on the 15min timeout set. Pressing on the green dots next to the drives will cause a spinning arrow to appear for a second, then disappear and go back to green. Drives do not spin down at all (would hear them). Pressing spin down all drives button also does nothing.

 

Log occasionally show "spinning down /dev/sdx" but usually do not when trying above actions.

 

I have tried rebooting, diagnostics attached.

The controller is set to IDE mode, change it to AHCI, that is also better for performance and stability, and spin down should work again after that.
