Unmountable: wrong or no file system - Test UNRAID

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm new to unraid. I'm getting ready to transfer my NAS to a new UNRAID and did a trial array. I encountered an "Unmountable: wrong or no file system" error for one of my drives. I believe it might have happened when I installed my parity drive and I had to stop it because it wasn't working - also not sure why that happened.

At this point I'm just looking to see if I can find out what I had in the array, back it up if possible, before I format and start again.

I downloaded the diagnostics file. Attached.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I meant to say that I tried the "fix" option in the Check Filesystem status and it didn't work. This is the error message:

Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... superblock read failed, offset 0, size 524288, ag 0, rval -1 fatal error -- Input/output error

I also tried it in terminal with all the other -L, -V, -N options

Its also showing some Errors here:

Actually looking further, the extended SMART test is showing read failure.

That disk should be replaced

Okay. Thanks. I'll try a recovery tool to see what's in it.
