After installing Mover Tuning plugin, I get "Docker Service Not Enabled..."

Featured Replies

I've got unraid installed on a dedicated server for many years now, and Enable Docker is set to No. I assume this is correct because I don't think I'm using Docker. I've been having issues when clicking Move for my Cache to Array transfer and after installing the Mover Tuning v2025.02.12.1707 plugin, I get "Docker Service Not Enabled - Only Plugins Available To Be Installed Or Managed" at the top of the Apps page. Any idea what the issue might be?

You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread. It is always a good idea when asking questions to supply your diagnostics so we can see details of your system, how you have things configured, and the current syslog.

This is to be expected if you do not have docker enabled.   Is it simply telling you cannot currently install Docker containers.

regarding your mover issue you have a very restrictive Split Level on your Movies and TV shares - and this may be forcing Unraid to try and put files onto drives that have insufficient Free space for them.   Have you tried using a less restrictive Split Level setting to see if that resolves your mover issue?

For Movies I have "Automatically split only the top level directory as required"

For TV I have "Automatically split only the top 2 directory levels as required"

I didn't think that was too restrictive. Do you think changing TV to the top 3 directories would be better? Movies are usually just one movie file and one subtitle file, so I figured it would make sense to have a top level split on that one.

I tend to lean towards being less restrictive than might be strictly required as in most cases it makes little difference, especially as the syslog in the diagnostics suggest mover is trying to use a drive that has insufficient space for the file mover wants to move.   You could at least try it and see if mover then springs into life.

I changed my TV share to top 3 level split and clicked Move, but nothing seemed to have happened. I've got 3 drives with 5tb free space and several other drives with 1-2tb free space, so I would think the mover would have plenty of room to move things around. Did you notice anything else in the logs regarding the Mover?
