April 18, 201214 yr In short, I can see my shares, can't access them. (Yes, I ran the permissions script! ) Was running 4.6, upgraded to 4.7 w/ no problems. For some reason I installed the latest beta and everything looked fine until I tried to access any share other than Flash. Flash is the only share I can get into. I have never had users, password, etc on this server (just streaming media to my house). I stared at settings and forum posts for hours with no luck so I went to downgrade to 4.7, removed the passwd, shadow and smbpasswd files, replaced the bz files with ones from the zip... Major problems, not seeing any drives, (too many drives missing error) can't mount them, nothing. I put back the files from beta14, all the drives are there and happy, I can use the web interface to see the drive contents, but again, no share access. Win 7 says it's not available. I've even created users, set permissions... nothing fixes this. Am I missing something? Can somebody PLEASE tell me how to either fix this or successfully downgrade back to 4.7? I'm pulling my hair out here. I made a backup of my 4.6 install... copied the whole usb stick to my laptop. Can I just copy it all back over and get it working? I'm thinking no... syslog-20120417-184245.txt
April 18, 201214 yr If you are using 5.0B14, did you run the permissions script on the Utilities tab? I had the same problem and this cleared for my Mac environment.

April 18, 201214 yr Author Found my fix in another thread; didn't have Local Master set to Yes. <sigh> Everything is back to normal. Nothing to see here. Please move along.
