February 23, 20251 yr I had drive 8 fail in my raid. I replaced it and now when restart raid it is disabled. I have stopped the array and removed it. Then restart array Stop it again and readd drive Start again still disabled. What else can I do?

February 24, 20251 yr Community Expert If you rebuild that empty emulated disk8 the result will be an empty disk8. Was disk8 supposed to be empty? Did you perhaps make the mistake of formatting it?
