February 24, 20251 yr I just came back from a short vacation (4 days) and found my server unresponsive, after managing to get it to reboot none of the drives are showing up in the console save for the cache drive and boot drive. The cache is an internal nvme drive and the boot is of course a USB thumb drive. All other drives are located in a USB attached dock which I previously had to apply a quirk after moving to version 7. Were there any recent updates that nullified the quirk making my drives unrecognizable again?
February 24, 20251 yr Please attach the diagnostics file to a new post in this thread. That might give some clues to the Gurus as to what your problem is.
February 24, 20251 yr Author Thanks Frank1940, I was about to and clicked the send before attaching LOL.
February 24, 20251 yr Author As a side note I did pick up a replacement dock to eliminate the possibility of a hardware failure (had no effect)
February 25, 20251 yr Solution The enclosure is not being detected by Linux, this is not a software issue
February 25, 20251 yr Author Then that may mean I have a potential PC failure, as I purchased a duplicate enclosure to rule out the dock being the issue prior to posting. I'm going to move the dock to another PC to see if it's recognizable. Thanks for your response JorgeB.
February 26, 20251 yr Author Turns out it was a faulty power supply not, it was providing enough power to light up the enclosure activity lights but not enough to spin up the disks.
