And I've been using an ASUS FM1/A55 board (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131796) with an A4 processor with no problems.  I bought this motherboard so I can run two two AOC-SASLP-MV8 cards.

I was looking at that mobo as well.  Good to know that you can use two AOC-SASLP-MV8's.  I'm thinking of building another super unraid, and use the one I've currently have for back up only.  Thanks.

I've been banging on a A55 and AMD A4 GPU for about 2 weeks with no issue..

Question..what made you want to go for an A4 vs a Sempron or Athlon, etc? Are they more power efficient? They seem to be like 30$ more.

It appears that you will need more RAM and a more powerful CPU to run more applications within unraid.  For example, my wife and I will be buying several Ipads for our kids.  So, I want to be able to play my movie with the ipads using AirVideo.  I want to start messing around with Plex and other applications as well.

I was thinking of just upgrading my RAM for my current server, but DDR2 memory is more expensive than DDR3, and buying a faster CPU is only a little more.  I've got two AOC-SASLP-MV8 now, which I want to use together to hopefully built my super server ;).

I've been having some issues with network errors.  So, I also want to try a different mobo.  However, I will be buying a supermicro mobo this time.

How have you seen the power usage rate with that APU? How did you feel that setup handled Air Video?

To be honest, I haven't tested AirVideo or other add ons on my server since I am waiting for the final 5.0 version of UnRaid.  However, a friend of mine has a lot of addons on his server, which includes AirVideo and Seviio I believe, and it worked flawlessly.  He has a supermicro mobo with a i5 PSU though.  I don't know how much more his electric bill went up, but my server is on 24/7, and I notice my bill went up 4 dollars a month, but that could also be due to using the AC in the house for a couple of hours last week.

Will the NIC with this board have drivers and be supported in V5?

Based on the RC2 thread, it appears that it will.

Be warned it doesn't have on board video.

Dont the A APUs include video and CPU in one set? So... in a sense it does include video, right?
