full /var/log, can someone help.

Featured Replies

So, I have logged into my server to check on a few things and I noticed my var/log is full. I really don't know how to read this log. So I was hoping some one could look at it and tell me why my var/log is full.

Also, maybe teach me or give me some pointers on how to read it in the future.

Thank you!

The syslog file in the diagnostics does not look very big so it may be something else filling up /var/log

you could try running the command

du -h /var/log/*

to see where space is being used.

I am assuming it is my SAMBA folder based off of this.

That's the Connect plugin log, reboot and see if it keeps growing, if yes, post its contents.
