March 2, 20251 yr System has been running smoothly for months. I realized my 2.5gb PCIE card was not working (the backup mobo mounted 1gb port was operating in fallback) so I removed and reseated it. System booted up fine. Few days later the automated parity check started and I woke up to a failed parity drive. Began rebuilding it to wake up to the same drive failing and another drive in the array failed. The system worked with the 2.5gb card for months. Diagnostics attached. Any help welcome. theark-diagnostics-20250302-0826.zip
March 2, 20251 yr Community Expert Mar 2 07:11:31 TheArk kernel: mpt3sas_cm0: SAS host is non-operational !!!! HBA issues, make sure it's well seated and sufficiently cooled, you can also try a different PCIe slot, then try again.
March 2, 20251 yr Author I had that issue a year ago but I downgraded my GPU and it seemed to solve the issue. I think it was an pcie lane issue. The failures occured after reinstalling the PCIE NIC. Sounds like I'm just out of lanes. Thanks!
