Super slow files copy - why?

Featured Replies

iperf3 shows 930 Mbits/sec from my mac laptop to server, local rsync of files in terminal at server - 300MB/s to hard drives array, about 600MB/s to cache SSD in terminal.

But when I copy files (same rsync command) from my mac to cached or non-cached share speed is just 25MB/s.

What is happening here? Any troubleshoot for this?

If you have parity with the array, then that speed was probably due to RAM buffering. After buffer fills, array writing with parity updates will be slower than that.
