4x4TB Array -- 2x4TB Parity -- 4x256 SSD Cache

What is the best configuration for home storage of backups, movies, and pictures?  Last version I tested had shares that could use both array and cache, but not with version 7?

What allocation method?  XFS or ZFS?  Do I need 2 parity disks?  Averaging about 45-50 MB/s from USB3.

Mobo has 6 sata and pcie gen3 card has another 6.  Jonsbo N3 has 8 x 3.5 drive bays and room for another 4 ssd.

Hoping to get a response within 24hrs.  Do I need to cross post or change forum?

Not sure what you mean, you can still use both, and now you can also use pools as primary and secondary storage.

This is normal for the array with default write mode, you can get better performance with turbo write or using a pool instead of the array.

Go ZFS.

I looked at #switching-the-pool-to-multi-device-mode but don't see this as an option?

Any chance I can keep my data intact that is on the array now?  Or can i move it all to a current parity disk once i remove from array?  Then do reverse and add back as parity
