Randoms freeze

Featured Replies

Hello, For some time now, my Unraid has been freezing randomly and I have to restart it. It crashes about every two weeks and I can't identify the cause. Here are my diagnostic logs.

The syslog in the diagnostics is the RAM copy and only shows what happened since the reboot.   It could be worth enabling the syslog server to get a log that survives a reboot so we can see what happened prior to the reboot. The mirror to flash option is the easiest to set up, but if you are worried about excessive wear on the flash drive you can put your server’s address into the Remote Server field.

I had a new crash last night, with the analysis of the syslog, I have the impression that it is my Jellyfin container which is crashing Unraid. I will monitor but I think it is resolved, I modified the number of parallel library analyses

I had another crash last night, here is the syslog. I didn't find anything special.

Nothing that explains a crash, but the NIC link is going up and down, is that expected?

I think I have a problem with my network cable, but I don't think the freezes are related

Since there's nothing else logged, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one, including the docker containers.
