March 14, 20251 yr I'm surprised I didn't get any hits on my search for OSPF here. I'd like to advertise my unraid networks via ospf to the rest of my area. Is there any way to run frr on the host system or is there another way to do this?

March 22, 20251 yr Author Hey thanks a ton for this. I was able to install IOtop via un-get, and was even able to build and install my frr.tgz from the slackware repo, but I can't seem to find where it all went. It was my understanding that packages in the /boot/extra directory get installed on boot, but that doesn't seem to work properly. At the end of the day I'm definitely asking unraid to do a lot more than it was designed to do and I should pull it back a bit. Even if I did get routing setup I would have to stop and start all the things to add new interfaces. I'm just going to predefine a pile a dummy vlans and let something else do all the routing and firewalling between VLANs. Seriously, thank you again for helping me out.

Installed, but if it errored and needed other stuff. or may have already been with the base distro. ITs hard to say. I stayed away as I can get deep into editing a base system when given access. Unriad is not a networking device. the use of pihole docker with dhcp as host, or a VM or LXC running a Virtual Router would be better to implement networking stuff within unraid. I would have you looke at virtual routers OS such as opensence, pfsense, openwrt, ipfire: Mapping interfaces on unraid via docker host or VM xml libvirt interface tapping. review:
