March 15, 20251 yr Hi I am having trouble with my server and would like to try and re-stall fresh installation on to flash drive to see if I can find the culprit what files do I need to copy over to new install. Is it key, super.dat and the pools folder for the assignments, & user templates folder (\config\plugins\dockerMan\templates-user). don't want to make a mistake many thanks
March 16, 20251 yr Community Expert the entire config folder has everything form plugins, disk data, share data etc... you would need to copy and paste peacmeal from that config folder into the new drive running a trial to slowly add and find what you need there is no one copy fits all. I have found that any base file found in the config folder as these are the base settings and configs that control the systems that you have already set. But a base setting may be what your hunting... the *.key file found in the flash drive is your unraid license key assigned to the flash drive GUID number. I recommend making a flash backup Main > Flash -Click Back will generate a config file that you can copy and have everything that is your current unraid flash drive. Review: and docs: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/troubleshooting/boot-issues/#backing-up-the-boot-drive take pictures of your main tab. you can match the disk to the pool name and use auto FS and unraid will recreate and import the pool if you set the same names and disk in the same location... (importing the disk array) matching D1 with d1 parity with parity, cache with cached other pool with xyz drive... I recommend making a fresh v7 usb and starting over. Copying over the docker template folder and unriad key file only. This way you get a fresh default config. Edited March 16, 20251 yr by bmartino1 typo

That is the bare minium you should copy to keep the assignments, templates also should be copied assuming they exist.
