Unsupported or no file system. Emulated drive is missing data.

Featured Replies

My system is running UnRaid 7.0.0-rc.2.

Had issue with drive #2 which became emulated. At first, all files from emulation seam to be available. Tried to rebuild drive #2 from parity but without success. Also tried to rebuild by formatting the drive before and did not work.

Stopped the system to check cables and restarted but this time I got "Unmountable: wrong or no file system". The drive is still emulated but now the files are missing.

Restarted array in Maintenance Mode and ran Check File System from web GUI. Got the attached results.

Should I hit the FIX button?

Many thanks.

You would need to if you want to clear the unmountable status.   After doing that the drive should mount when the array is started in normal mode.

Restarted in normal mode but still get the same error "Unmountable: wrong or no file system"

That log shows that the -L option is required to reset the log.

I do this by hitting the "ZERO LOG" button in maintenance mode?

I don't see where to apply the -L option.

I think that the zero log option is what you do in the 7.0.1 release to get the system to do it for you.  In earlier releases it had to be done manually.

Hit the "ZERO LOG" button and it successfully fixed the log. See attached.

Restarted in normal mode and got rid of the Unmountable error. Now it seems that all files are available from emulated drive #2 🙂

Next: hopefully rebuilding from parity will work.
