Unraid not seeing ANY disks, but BIOS does.

Featured Replies

Hello, I am running into a bit of an issue on a brand new install.
I currently have a 1TB m.2 nvme connected directly to the motherboard which is visible by bios, which i intended on using for my Cache drive.

And for my data drives there are 2 6TB drives plugged into a Adaptech ASR-71605 HBA.

When i login into the Adaptech bios i can see both of the disks, but cant for the life of me get them present in Unraid.

Id love if someone could take a look and possibly point me in the right direction?

For the NVMe device:

Mar 16 20:50:49 NAS kernel: ahci 0000:00:17.0: Found 1 remapped NVMe devices.
Mar 16 20:50:49 NAS kernel: ahci 0000:00:17.0: Switch your BIOS from RAID to AHCI mode to use them.

For the disks, the controller is bound to vfio-pci, delete /config/vfio-pci.cfg on the flash drive and reboot, but I believe that is a RAID controller, so possibly not ideal.

@JorgeB good  evening, i found out the card was in RAID mode instead of HBA mode, so i switched it over to HBA mode (but still no luck)

Let me delete the vfio-pci cfg as well and see if that resolves the issue.
