March 18, 20251 yr If the behavior is always similar with different source files, problem myb be on the desktop side, not being able to write fast enough.
March 18, 20251 yr SSD's often have a section of 'fast' cells that serve as a 'cache' to speed up writes to the drive. After that block is filled, the data has to be written to much slower cells. The slower cells are used for both cost and heat considerations when the SSD is being designed.
