Baron_Harkonnen
hi, i usually log to my shares with root, but i was wandering whether i should log in as admin? are there any benefits (i don't know ...security against computer screwing something up)? i mean both root and admin can read write delete after all...so is there any difference? Thanks Link to comment
prostuff1
is "admin" a user you created? I don't use the root user for anything unless I need to. It is really only used when loading the web interface, logging in via telnet and a few other cases. Link to comment
Baron_Harkonnen
i think than you enable users, admin is automatically generated, - like it's the first user that is atomically created, and you have an option to set password for it, and after that create other users. Link to comment
dgaschk
admin should have less power. admin is safer to use than root. Link to comment
