March 30, 20251 yr Hi everyone, new Unraid user here who’s not as technical as he thinks he is… I’ve got myself into a catch-22 situation with my first Unraid server. I had the Plex docker image installed and working, and at some point I must have changed something that now causes the server to hang with the “Services starting” message at the bottom of the screen and unable to access the Docker tab. When I reboot the server it starts fine, including starting the array as long as Docker is disabled. As soon as I enable Docker and apply it then it once again hangs while starting. The Fix Common Plug-ins highlighted an issue with Plex-Media-Server which I adjusted but to no avail. I feel the issue is in Docker settings but without being able to start Docker I’m unable to adjust them, or delete/reinstall an fresh image. Diagnostics attached and advice gladly sought! pearsonplex-diagnostics-20250330-1931.zip
March 30, 20251 yr Author Apologies, diagnostics below are after the array has started but still has Docker disabled (if I enable Docker the hang means I’m unable to access other tabs in the web GUI so can’t access Tools > Diagnostics). Thank you. pearsonplex-diagnostics-20250330-2026.zip

Not sure what you mean there. You can't delete docker.img with docker enabled. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-create-the-docker-image-file https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-installing-docker-applications https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#docker-custom-networks
March 30, 20251 yr Author Thank you, I’ll explore these options. Sorry I wasn’t clear previously - rather than expecting to reinstall Docker I was hoping to access my list of installed apps (which would need Docker enabled) as I was wanting to delete the Plex Media Server container (as I feel that this is where the issue causing the hang is) and then reinstall a fresh Plex docker container. As per the links above I’ll try recreating the Docker image file first if that’s the recommendation.
April 4, 20251 yr Author Thanks @trurl, recreating the docker image indeed fixed it. Reinstalled the Plex docker and all is well again. Thank you again for your help.
