FTP disabled on reboot. Files deleted.

Featured Replies

Hi All. I backup my Reolink security camera recordings to my Unraid server via the built in FTP server. I rebooted by server yesterday and the FTP server disabled (I understand this is by design). If that wasnt bad enough the files in the share I created solely for FTP backup are no longer there. Is this meant to happen? Many thanks in advance.

Better to use one of the FTP dockers.

What path did you use? Sounds like you probably used a path in rootfs (the RAM reserved for all the OS files, which wouldn't be a share at all) instead of a path in mounted storage (user shares, disks).

Sorry for the delay in replying. I created a share specifically for the camera. I also created a user specifically for the camera and gave it access to the share.

In the description of the user I put...

ftpuser /mnt/user/<username>

Thanks.
