byobu possible on unRAID?

Featured Replies

I'd like to have the excellent "screen" alternative byobu on unRAID, but I'm failing really early on.

It needs tmux, (which needs libevent), newt and screen.

When I try to compile libevent (running ./configure ), I get the error "config.status: error: cannot find input file: `test/Makefile.in'" .

I have the c compiler package and python package installed. This is on unRAID 4.7.

Is there a way to get libevent, tmux, newt and byobu compiled on it, or even the v5 betas?

not sure about byobu, didn't find a suitable package and don't have a slackware running right now to build one.

But, tmux seems no problem.

Did this on a unraid 5.0rc3

[*] get libevent unmenu package from unmenu transmission thread http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=8736.0 and install it

[*] download tmux from http://porneia.free.fr/bin/slackbuilds/tmux-1.5-i486-1_SBo.tgz and installpkg

found a package for newt on http://slackpack.ludost.net/packages/slackware-13.1/newt-0.52.12-i486-1gds.txz
