April 9, 20251 yr Hello all, My Unraid server had been running fine for about a year no issues. I am on the latest version. Suddenly 2-3 days ago I lost access to the web GUI via IP receiving the error 'ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE'. I could still see and access the shares from my PC and things like Jellyfin were working on my TV (although I couldn't access via IP and port on my browser). I have restarted the server, no luck. I have tried a new USB stick, no luck. I have tried some troubleshooting with ChatGPT, no luck. Is it syslog that I need to copy and paste for help? I'm really stuck as to why it suddenly stopped working. I have just come out of safe mode GUI and it all looks OK from the perspective of hardware health etc. Thanks.

April 9, 20251 yr Author Just now, trurl said: Do you mean you can access the webUI from an attached monitor and keyboard, but you can't access it from a browser on another computer? Yes with monitor/keyboard attached to the server I can see the UI perfectly fine in safe mode GUI however I cannot access it from any device on my network and now none of the services are working at all (Jellyfin/Nextcloud etc). Nothing has changed with any of my setup which is why I don't understand why it suddenly stopped working.

April 9, 20251 yr Community Expert Did anything change about your network? What is the IP of another computer on your network that can't access your server? Really better if you reserve IP by MAC address in your router instead of assigning a static IP on your server. Everything seems to be configured as if you knew what you were doing
April 9, 20251 yr Author So - I run my devices through a VPN director on my router (including the server) apart from my partners phone. I have turned the router back on and can see the shares on my PC which is also connected through the VPN director, but still can't access the web UI. I then tried on my phone, my TV to get onto Jellyfin (no luck). I have then tried on my partners phone and she was able to see Jellyfin and access it. I don't really understand it but it looks like the VPN is what's possibly causing the issue, although why this would suddenly start being a problem now when it's been running fine for about a year I don't get. I'll try turn my VPN director off for all devices now and try the web UI again.
April 9, 20251 yr Author No VPN running, still can't get onto the web UI on my laptop or phone. Just tried the web UI on partners phone and it loads straight up???
April 9, 20251 yr Community Expert Are the working devices and non-working devices on the same subnet as your server?

April 10, 20251 yr Author Sorry for slow reply.... OK so I'm pretty much there. It appears that my browser was causing the block (Brave). I tried on Safari and it let me straight in. I think it has something to do with the permissions and local access being blocked. Re. my phone, I also run a separate VPN on it directly for when I'm out of the house, it seems that this was what was causing the conflict as once I disabled that it let me in. Just unfortunate that two separate issues came about at the same time. Both were previously working up to a couple of days ago so still not sure why they decided to start playing up but atleast it's functional again. Thanks for the help checking my logs.
April 10, 20251 yr Author So more specifically if anyone in the future has this issue on MacOS go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > Enable on whatever browser you are using. Fixed my problem. Obviously not relevant if using Windows/Linux. Edited April 10, 20251 yr by rayhn92
