Backup Unraid Share setup-Advice

Featured Replies

Hello,

I would like some advice. I have setup a second Unraid server that will be a for backing up my main server. On main server, I have Movies, TV Shows, Photos, etc. My questions are:

1. Should I create a Share for each category (i.e Share1=Movies, Share2=TVShows, etc) and backup that content type to that share?

2. Should I create 1 Share, call it Backup, and backup everything to it?

3. Create 1 Share with folders inside based on the content type and backup that way?

Not entirely sure if there is any benefit to either situation, I know I am overthinking it a bit. However, if anyone has any advice/recommendations that would be great!
