black screen on gpu pass through 2nd VM

Featured Replies

have 1 VM which works - no issue - W10 with nvidia GTX 1060 ( PCIE x16 slot 1)  and fresco logic f1100 passed through .

I want to play some old games , so I am trying to set up a W7 VM .  I am using a Radeon HD 8570 in the 4th PCIE slot .  have the vm working fine with VNC , but there is no signal to monitor when attempting to use the GPU . There are no errors in the logs that I can see , and the vm log appears to show the gpu sucessfully passed through . I have made sure that the gpu and sound are on the same bus , however , device mgr in W7 shows a vga adapter ( error code 10 ) , tht will not correct with drivers for the card.  also the sound card does not appear .

I have set bios to multi monitor mode , onboard gpu  is used as the primary device . both other cards are bound to vfio at boot . the radeon card is working , as the unraid boot splash screen shows up . system boots to eufi mode  if that makes a difference.

diagnostics added to post - any help appreciated - I am out of ideas
