Heads up, this plugin version is not actively maintained. Folderview3 is where you will want to go for the latest requests https://forums.unraid.net/topic/197223-plugin-folderview3/

I really have a problem obsessing over UI design. And it is not what I do for a living.

Just for you can look into : )

try to edit the css of the little unRAID orange down-arrow buttons to a more muted grey color.

Orange icons was really annoying at the start but then with time was OK, but for now made like so grey gradient:

This shold be better than plain grey above, no?

I would try something like the below. Take your time tweaking the color till you get everything nice and balanced.

Thanks I will check it all :

But Folder and container text are lighter on hover :

You can try https://boxy-svg.com/ as we talked before its was really easy to fix bugs in clouds images with this tool ...

Started working with boxy-svg. It is much easier for this task. Trying to create animations is NOT easy on boxy.

Started chipping away at it.... I am up to the "G's".

It was easy to fix cloud shapes and remove scratches, maybe you can find similar tool for easy animation creation :)

Thanks, looks really cool.

I'm excited to see a new version of this plug-in that supports unraid 7.x. I've missed it since upgrading and I will definitely check it out again. This plug-in fills a significant void when hosting many dockers, as it becomes unwieldy to manage them all with the stock native unraid UI.

It’s supported, it’s mostly working. It just has a few bugs. I’m still using it on 7.2.0b3.

Yea I did not touch VM folders and it might suffer from the issue the docker had ( and should be fixed ) I need to check the VM folders too

Any News about this?

Hi and thanks a lot for maintaining FolderView2 and continuing the original Folder View project!

I’m using containers that run through another container’s network (e.g. --network=container:GluetunVPN). I’ve noticed an odd behavior:

  • If I restart/rebuild the Gluetun container, only the dependent containers that are in the same Folder get rebuilt/restarted.

  • Dependent containers that live in a different Folder (but use the same --network=container:GluetunVPN) are not rebuilt/restarted.

Is this expected?
Does FolderView2 currently detect cross-folder dependencies for container:<name> networking?
Is there a way to “rebuild/restart all dependents” across folders, or could this be supported?

Steps to reproduce (example):

  1. Gluetun container GluetunVPN.

  2. App A (Folder “Media”) with --network=container:GluetunVPN.

  3. App B (Folder “Downloaders”) with the same network mode.

  4. Restart/rebuild GluetunVPN from the UI.

Observed: App A rebuilds/restarts (same Folder as Gluetun). App B does not (different Folder).
Expected: All dependents using container:GluetunVPN rebuild/restart regardless of Folder.

Apologies if this has already been discussed and I missed it — I just wanted to double-check if this behavior is known or intentional.

Thanks again!

Can confirm the beta for folderview2 is working as expected. Had the issue with the WubUI not opening correctly. Unraid 7.1.4 ensure you remove the plugin from the plugins tab follow instructions on page one from the author. I had to create the /boot/config/plugins/folder.view2/ on my unraid usb and then proceeded to the install.

FolderView is 95% visual/organization. I don't think it handles dependency rebuilds/restarts at all.
Check out the docker container Rebuild-DNDC. I think it does what you are asking about.

I'm having issues installing the beta branch linked on the first page, ver. 04.08.2025. uploaded the required plugin files, but the manual installation just outright fails with an error;
plugin: downloading: folder.view2-2025.08.07.5.txz ... plugin: folder.view2-2025.08.07.5.txz download failure: Invalid URL / Server error response

Any ideas what the deal is here?

EDIT
Got it working - turns out that my ssh terminal Tabby was 0'ing out the upload because the functionality is completely broken on Tabby for some reason, and has been for over two months with no response from the maintainer :) Thanks for updating Folderview2

current manually installed version is working for me on 7.2b3

nothing seems broken.

Just wondering, has anyone tried running 2025.04.13 (latest folderview2 in the app store) on Unraid 7.2?

Or is it a case manually installing the 04.08.2025 for now? If so, any idea on a rough timeline for a app store release?

Just updated this morning don't see any issues.

Thank you 👍

Probably something stupid on my side, but turning on autostart on a folder, after a couple of minutes, it's turning itself off? is this a bug or am I missing something?

Are your CPU and Memory data populating after updating to 7.2? I can still see the stats for individual containers but all the folder views now show the combined stats as 0%.

Also, the expanded chart view is now blank.

Looks like lots of UI improvements are being worked on - very excited and appreciative of your work!

Are basic things (like clicking the globe icon and launching a new tab for the container's interface) being worked on? The command prompt & logs icons work, but the globe doesn'timage.png

Also, I just updated to 7.2 prod and initially, this didn't load for me at all - I got all my containers in an old style, single list. A couple of reloads didn't help. I went to look again this morning to grab a screen shot for a bug post, but... benign neglect has once again come to the rescue and it's grouping everything into folders again just fine!
