April 29, 201214 yr Running a Windows 7 Premium laptop. I previously had mapped shares from an unRAID server, but I lost connection. I deleted the mounts and tried re-establish them. I cannot connect to the shares. I can ping the unRAID server, I can do an nslookup and tracert. I can login to the unRAID using putty and also through a web browser. But I cannot connect or browse using the file Explorer. I've tried rebooting the router and all systems. I've tried renaming the laptop. I've added an entry in the registry for LmCompatibility and set value to 1. I should say that other systems in the home can connect to the unRAID - it's just my laptop.
June 22, 201214 yr Hi -- Did this get resolved? Have a similar issue with my daughter who has just returned from University and her laptop is the only machine that will not see the network devices
June 22, 201214 yr For me this is sorted now. I had the workgroups and everthing sorted out fine - turned out to be the firewall of my AV prog which was installed after some of the PC's were in place and before others, new ones were blocked. Fixed that and now works fine Thanks
